Hop through history with the Shaker Historical Society during this two-day Spring Break mini camp! Hopping Through History takes place March 31-April 1 and will feature engaging hands-on virtual activities for campers to explore local history! Education & Outreach Manager Allison Henline and Board Member Hazel Smith will be using Zoom to facilitate activities that campers do at their own home at their own pace. All materials will be provided for pick-up prior to the start of the camp.

This camp costs $60/members, $70/nonmembers (supplies and instructions included in cost) and is perfect for campers in grades 1-6. Discounts available for siblings! Please register for the time-slot appropriate for your child(ren):

  • 1st-2nd grade (9:00am -10:00 am)

  • 3rd- 4th grade (10:30pm-11:30pm)

  • 5th-6th grade (1:00pm-2:00pm)

Limited spots available! Registration ends Monday, March 22 with supply pick-up between March 22-26.

  1. Complete the registration form. An invoice will be sent to the email address you provide.

  2. Pay the invoice online or by sending a check made payable to The Shaker Historical Society to 16740 South Park Blvd., Shaker Heights, OH 44120. Payment must be received by March 23, 2021 to ensure a kit for your camper!


Please join Archaeologist Elizabeth Hoag of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Master Teacher Rosemary Nemeth of Gesu School, and SHS Education & Outreach Manager Allison Henline for a one-day mini camp! I Dig Archaeology mini camp will take place over Spring Break on April 5, 2021 and will feature exciting and engaging hands-on virtual activities for the campers to explore archaeology. The Zoom platform will be used to facilitate the activities that campers do on their own at home. All materials will be provided for pick up prior to the start of the camp.

This camp costs $45/members, $55/nonmembers (supplies and instructions included in cost) and is perfect for campers in grades 2-8. Registration ends Monday, March 29 with supply pick-up between March 31-April 2.
