Devil's Food Cake

This week's vintage recipe is a family favorite, Devil's Food Cake with decadent frosting!

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 1&1/4 Cup Light brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 eggs beaten

  • (Cream these together before combining the following)

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda

  • 2 Cups Flour

  • 2 Squares Bakers Chocolate melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Icing:

  • 9 Tablespoons brown sugar

  • 6 Tablespoons Heavy Cream

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

Instructions: Boil 2 minutes, add confectioner's sugar until thick enough to spread.
