Shaker Historical Society
Introducing our new interactive culinary adventure, Shaker Bakers! We will be posting new vintage recipes every week from our temporary exhibition It Takes A Village which discusses the rich 90-year history of the Village Garden Club in Shaker Heights. Give these recipes a try and let us know how they turn out by using the hashtags #shakerbakers and #shakerhistory on Instagram and Facebook!
August 1 - October 18, 2020 (First Floor)
In their 90-year history, the Village Garden Club of Shaker Heights has planted hundreds of trees around Horseshoe Lake and helped lead the fight against the Clark Freeway in the 1960s. Developed in collaboration with the Club, It Takes a Village features archival material from the collections of the Village Garden Club and Shaker Historical Society. This exhibit is located on our first floor and is wheelchair accessible.
