Brianna Treleven, Executive Director

Brianna Treleven was born and raised in the Greater Cleveland area and grew up visiting all the museums and parks Northeast Ohio has to offer. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University with a focus on museum studies, archives, and special collections and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology in fine art photography and art history. Before joining the Shaker Historical Society team in 2020, she worked in numerous museums and special collections in Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh. Brianna lives in South Euclid and enjoys hiking, visiting museums, gardening, and doing her best on New York Times crossword puzzles.

Kate Walker, Operations & Events Manager

Kate is an award-winning communications professional who has experience working in a variety of industries including: non-profit, corporate, and government agencies. She graduated from John Carroll Universtiy with a degree in Communications in 2004. She has worked in Washington DC, Chicago, and Cleveland doing strategic communications, consulting as well as sales and marketing work. Kate loves working with people and learning about their history. Kate lives with her family in Shaker Heights and is excited about working at the Shaker Historical Society and utilizing her communications experience to help raise awareness about this history of our great community!

Chuck Wood, Weekend Docent

A Shaker Heights resident, Chuck welcomes guests, shares information about our history and exhibits, and operates the gift shop. He filled this position with extensive experience as a librarian at local universities and museums and as an adjunct history professor at Cuyahoga Community College.
